Here to report on TrickConTreat. It was definitely a weekend to remember. Jess and I felt like we were out of state the whole time when we were less than 30 miles from home. Friday we helped with the Rocky Horror Picture Show and I think everyone did a wonderful job. It was hectic but it was fun.
I’ve uploaded a couple of pics of the costumes that Jess and I wore to the Hauntican Ball on Saturday night. I just wore my medieval garb and wore prosthetics on my face to make it look like half of it was melting off. Got a lot of reactions to that actually – yay! The only bad thing was not being able to see out of the left eye.
Jess was a fallen angel and God slit her throat on the way down. She won 3rd place in the contest! Not only because of the good costume, she’s also cute (three male judges – hello!). It was weird seeing her as a blonde, though. Bryan, pictured with Jessica, was a priest who was born bad; hence the demon face and club.
I may not have won anything for the costume contest but I did walk away with a big prize. All of the entries were entered into a drawing for Spike TV’s Scream 2008 Movie Awards Show in LA. I won the tickets! Now if I can just get transportation to LA. It’s in less than two weeks and I really want to go. It recognizes horror, sci-fi and fantasy movie genres so there will be actors and actresses. I checked out videos for last year’s awards and it looked crazy!
